Peacemaking

We are called as believers to be peacemakers in a world troubled with strive and violence. Where can we start but right here?

First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way. This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. 1 Timothy 2:1-4

His Branches has been involved recently in a number of initiatives, stemming out of a growing collaboration between members of the Arnett Block Association, the Rochester Police Department (RPD), and a number of community groups and agencies which seek to stem the tide of drug trafficking and gun violence in our community. One of our members is seated on the Police Chief’s PCIC (Police-Citizen Interaction Committee), which meets monthly to seek guidance about how to focus the community’s efforts to overcome criminal activity with worthwhile pursuits.
