Encouraging health care students and providers

His Branches has been actively involved

in gathering, supporting, and encouraging Christian health professionals in the Rochester area since 1978, both at the University of Rochester and in the broader community. Two overlapping associations have developed over the years, as described below.

URMCCF

The University of Rochester Medical Center Christian Fellowship (URMCCF) has been an active student organization at the Medical Center for over 40 years. In 1978 the group was looking for a mentor and Dr. Morehouse was praying for community support and help in establishing a Christ-centered medical ministry on Arnett Boulevard. The two were brought together and have been mutually supportive ever since the early days when medical students came to help us renovate our facility and move in. And Dr. Morehouse and Susan have served as Faculty Advisors with a lot of support from other faculty and community providers.

GRMCCF

The Greater Rochester Medical Community Christian Fellowship (GRMCCF) was formed over 25 years ago, partially in response to student requests for graduate mentors in different specialties. The primary role of the group is to encourage physicians and others in associated disciplines to grow closer in their relationship with God and His Son Jesus in the midst of the demanding pressures of professional life, by gathering regularly in fellowship and promoting commitment to a local church while in active practice.
