Public Library of the Year: Arnett Branch, Rochester Public Library Nominations are in and the winners of this year’s RRLC* Library of the Year contest have just been announced! Library advocates will be proud to learn that a record 1,448 people told the RRLC how much they love their library! These weren’t just one liners either. Posted April 27 – This past Saturday Arnett Boulevard from Kenwood Avenue to Rugby Avenue was transformed into The Arnett Trolley Stop District, and the event was a great success! The Premiere of our new video, The Front Row, was a great success last night! We had a full house with about 100 in attendance representing a wide array of youth, agencies, churches, and other supporters from around the community. The video itself was deeply moving, and the panel discussion afterwards very enlightening and encouraging. Already nearly 400 DVDs have been distributed for group viewing in schools, rec centers, and youth programs throughout Rochester, and copies are traveling to NYC, Washington DC, and Atlanta.
