A long-time 19th Ward tradition will continue with the Palm Sunday Breakfast on April 5th at the Presbyterian Home, 256 Thurston Road. The event is from 8 to 9:30 am, and the featured speaker is Mayor Robert Duffy. Westminster Presbyterian Mission cosponsors the occasion together with St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church and the Roman Catholic Community of the 19th Ward. Dear Friends, For the past few years the 19th Ward has celebrated Dr. Martin Luther King’s birthday in a public manner and will be doing so again this year. On Sunday, January 18th there will be a FREE concert by the Rochester Oratorio Society at 3 pm at St. Monica’s Church. On Monday, January 19 there will be luminaries throughout the area. The luminaries themselves are small paper bags weighted down with sand or kitty litter and containing a votive candle.
