Our new next-door neighbor, RISEGO, is putting the finishing touches on the development of a Social Entrepreneurship Center in the city of Rochester. The center will help young entrepreneurs create businesses that address problems in their community and avoid the pitfalls of selling drugs and other negative behaviors. The site will feature four new businesses that model how entrepreneurs create wealth the right way. With the conclusion of both the Elim Bible Institute and Roberts Wesleyan College academic calendars, our outreach also concluded for the summer. As the kids are loved and invested in, we get to see their hard exteriors begin to peel away and they become kids once again. There is nothing worse than a child who is forced to grow up before their time due to circumstances they have been placed in, but here they are able to let it all go and be themselves.
