Block Party 2017
Was this the best one yet? We all had a marvelous time at our 12th annual Arnett Block Party on Saturday, August 5th. Volunteers started arriving at 9:00 am, and by noon when the party started we were up and Bob Puff had us all rocking to the Gospel! Seven churches pitched in with music, break dancing, a magic show, amazing bubbles, the bike clinic, and basketball hoops, jump rope, and hula hoop contests. Driving in the car one day, right out of the blue he turned to my wife (who is from Canada) and said, “Mummy, when do we turn black?” Caught completely off guard she said, “I don’t know what you mean.” “Well,” sounded the pensive, albeit innocent, childish voice, “You are white, we are beige, and Daddy is brown – when do we turn black?”...

A woman asked them if they could help her fix the flat tire on her bike and it kind of grew from there. The operation eventually outgrew his...
