Rochester Mayor Lovely Warren
delivered her State of the City address on Monday, April 24, as reported by WHEC.
Speaking at CGI Communications on Main Street – an example she says of downtown development – the mayor lauded her accomplishments over the past four years, focusing on development downtown and creating jobs in the city along with city safety and education.
The mayor started off her address by touting changes to make downtown more pedestrian-friendly, including changes planned for Main Street and the Inner Loop East fill-in project. “In place of the concrete moat that saw no development and no economic activity,” the mayor said of the Inner Loop fill-in, “we’re seeing the Inner Loop area catch fire.”
