Rosewood Club Award

This Monday evening, December 7, Susan Morehouse was one of three citizens chosen to be honored with a Distinguished Service Award at the 65th Annual Rochester Police Department Rosewood Club Dinner for her ongoing work in our neighborhood and broader community. According to the event program, the award is “presented annually to members of our community who have made significant contributions in the area of public safety. Tonight’s recipients have dedicated themselves to improving our community and making it a safer place to live.”

The Rosewood Club represents the command officers of the Rochester Police Department, many of whom Susan has worked with on the Police Chief’s monthly PCIC (Police-Citizen Interaction Committee) and in the community over the years as she has sought to make our neighborhood and community safer. Her award is based primarily on her work with neighborhood drug dealing, landlord and tenant support, community-building activities, sponsoring the successful Southwest Gun Buyback program 2 years ago, and most recently producing the award-winning video “The Front Row.” We’re honored to have Susan guiding our community outreach efforts through the Arnett Block Association and helping us develop many other activities and strategic alliances.
