Good morning everyone,
I just wanted to let you all know that in wake of the recent tragedy at the Boys and Girls Club there will be a meeting in the Wilson High School auditorium at 501 Genesee Street on Tuesday evening, September 1, from 5 – 8 pm. It’s called “Healing the Hurt.” Dr. Kevin Coffey will be discussing Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and mental heath after these types of situations. As our children and staff get ready for another school year we thought this would be a helpful gathering for us, especially the families… all are welcome – this is a free event sponsored by the University of Rochester in collaboration with the Rochester City School District. I sent the organizer the link to The Front Row and she will show the video during the presentation. There will be light refreshments and interesting conversation. I’m hoping many of you can make it and bring a friend.
