Good morning everyone, I just wanted to let you all know that in wake of the recent tragedy at the Boys and Girls Club there will be a meeting in the Wilson High School auditorium at 501 Genesee Street on Tuesday evening, September 1, from 5 – 8 pm. It’s called “Healing the Hurt.” Dr. Kevin Coffey will be discussing Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and mental heath after these types of situations. Wednesday night, August 19th, will ring in the minds and hearts of our neighborhood and the Rochester community for years to come. It was a night that started out with some good, clean fun at a Boys and Girls Club basketball game on Genesee Street, right across from Wilson High School in Rochester’s 19th Ward and within several blocks of our main ministry offices. Posted August 2 – We just had our 10th Annual Arnett Block Party yesterday, and it was a great success! The weather was perfect, volunteers and participants arrived early to set up, the street was closed off, and the neighborhood moved in! Posted August 2 – One of the many big hits at our 10th Annual Arnett Block Party yesterday was a talented youth group from our neighborhood called “Encouragement Lions of Judah.” As described on their Facebook page, the group is “seeking to revitalize our community with the Love of God.
