Art Force 5 Joins Team Alfred, NY – Alfred University’s Art Force 5 truly believe that they can be superheroes to the City of Rochester. 2017 ESL Jefferson Award As reported in an article in the Democrat and Chronicle this week, Dan Lill is just one person but he’s convinced 160 people to volunteer with him every week so that people can get around Rochester. They can bike to their job or ride to the grocery store to get food for their family. It all started 17 years ago when he was serving lunch to the homeless with a friend, Bill D’Anza. As noted in Rochester’s Minority Reporter, hundreds of people attended the National Day of Prayer Initiative in downtown Rochester May 4. Ark of Jesus Ministries Bishop David Singleton founded Rochester’s National Day of Prayer in 2012, which coincides with National Prayer Day, and began Thursday with remarks from local elected officials on the steps of City Hall. Rochester Mayor Lovely Warren delivered her State of the City address on Monday, April 24, as reported by WHEC.
