Good morning everyone, I just wanted to let you all know that in wake of the recent tragedy at the Boys and Girls Club there will be a meeting in the Wilson High School auditorium at 501 Genesee Street on Tuesday evening, September 1, from 5 – 8 pm. It’s called “Healing the Hurt.” Dr. Kevin Coffey will be discussing Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and mental heath after these types of situations. Wednesday night, August 19th, will ring in the minds and hearts of our neighborhood and the Rochester community for years to come. It was a night that started out with some good, clean fun at a Boys and Girls Club basketball game on Genesee Street, right across from Wilson High School in Rochester’s 19th Ward and within several blocks of our main ministry offices. When the game was over a crowd of kids poured out into the Club parking lot beside Westside Health Services and hung out for a while talking, laughing, and playing around with one another. You shall not bow down to them or serve them, for I the Lord your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and the fourth generation of those who hate me, but showing steadfast love to...

Eclipse Dazzles Skywatchers The total eclipse of the moon lasted only a short time, but it still dazzled not only viewers but those who have been noticing an unusual sequence. This the third of four ‘blood moons’ in a row that all herald the start of major biblical holidays, starting with Pesach (Passover) and Sukkot (Feast of Tabernacles) last year and following up with the same two holidays this year. A total lunar eclipse is sometimes called a blood moon because of the red color that is cast upon it by light refracting in Earth’s atmosphere. Early risers in the western...
